3 - Corrective Treatment Sessions

  • We will work with clinical grade medical massage techniques and "M.E.T." (Muscle Energy Techniques) as primary tools to correcting your root problems.  In combination, we use adequate rest, relaxation, and correction tools to neurologically stimulate and reset your muscles and nervous system.  Your brain will immediately gain a better sense of stability improving your homeostasis resulting in your joints opening, improving range of motion, increasing stimulus and circulation and providing your brain and body a restored sense of stability.

  • Your therapist will provide you tips and tricks that you can do in your day to day to "stack wellness" and reinforce corrections, allowing you to have the tools needed to find relief independently should you have any regressions.

  • During each session your therapist can educate you on what is happening in your body and what we are doing to correct it.  Our promise is to empower our patients with knowledge so that they can become the best versions of themselves and live their best lives.

4 - Revisit the plan

  • Before or after each session pre and post photos may be taken to help you visually observe the tangible changes that are happening in your body.

  • After three treatments we will review your S.O.A.P. notes, your subjective and objective progress, and make any necessary changes or adjustments to your treatment plan.

  • We look at what's next - whether that be another ailment or ongoing wellness concerns, we have the information and strategies required to take you to the next level.

FAQs

1 - What is the difference between a massage and a medical massage?
Massage Therapy is known as a therapeutic service for a reason, however the quality, intention, and overall goal of sessions vary depending on a number of factors.  Most massages are conducted with relaxation goals utilizing "Swedish Massage" techniques/modalities.  What separates "medical massage" from the rest, is that the sessions are spent addressing a specific ailment/root cause of a problem you are experiencing in your day to day life with the intention of correcting that specific issue.  Medical massage therapists often specialize in sports medicine and M.E.T. techniques that address specific biomechanical issues that result in physical pain felt in the body.  No, you do not have to be an athlete or live an athletic life to feel pain symptoms from your day to day nor do you need to be those things to experience the benefits of clinical grade massage therapy treatment sessions.
2 - Does Paolino Medical Massage accept insurance?
Massage therapy is a billable treatment to most insurances, however Paolino Medical Massage is an out of pocket clinic.  Some clients use their HSA/FSA cards to cover their treatments which are accepted.  Because Paolino Medical Massage only employs Licensed Massage Therapists that keep their licenses current, you may be able to get reimbursed by your insurance company through out of network alternative medicine benefits.  You will need to check with your insurance provider to see what the details are for your unique circumstances.  If your insurance requires a referral or prescription for massage, we can refer you to one of our in-network Doctors of Chiropractic for a consultation to obtain a prescription (no chiropractic adjustments necessary.) Our services range from $120-$359 depending on how you want to cover the expense for your treatment plan.
3 - What conditions do you treat?
All symptoms of pain, injuries, or post surgery including muscles or nerves, including but not limited to neck and back pain, disc injures, fibromyalgia or M.S., pinched nerves, tendonitis, arthritis, fasciitis, migraines/headaches, TMJ, surgical or burn scars, lymphedema, poor circulation, varicose veins, among other symptoms.  Feel free to use our contact form with your specific need/concern and we will be happy to help.  If we cannot help you, we will exhaust our efforts to find someone who can.
4 - What should I wear to a medical massage treatment?
Dress comfortably, with our specialization in M.E.T. and a variety of modalities, clothes are optional yet do not have to be removed for a treatment session.  If there is a need to assess a symptomatic area of your body more directly, we have multiple layers of draping, sheets, blankets and techniques to ensure you are comfortable during treatment in a safe environment.
5 - What are my next steps to begin treatment?
You have the option to call, text, or email us directly to schedule your initial consultation to see if medical massage is right for you.  Give us 1-2 business days to get back to you.  Click on one of the buttons below to schedule your first appointment.
